24inch USMC carved Seal – This guy is carved from 5/4″ hardwood and it’s usually teak.  The detail is appropriate for this storied symbol and is done with great pride by a Marine.  Those who made the grade after 13 weeks of basic training and then parted from the Corps on honorable terms were each given the EGA, and sharing it requires that it was earned by the recipient- which is pretty much my position on the matter.

I’ve discovered that a paint detracts from the grain unless done very tastefully, so on these you’ll discover the paint applied doesn’t contrast- it blends.  It adds a fantastic appeal.

Though I don’t really feel these to be for outside decoration, they certainly ‘can be’ as they’re properly sealed with an outdoor clear gloss finish.  It will look great wherever you put it.
